TBP 0005: Who knows about the Southern New Hampshire Coastline?

Breaking New Grounds – Favorite Coffeehouse in Portsmouth NH!

I recently was in contact with an old friend on the Southern New Hampshire Coastline, and it reminded me of all of the great things I love and miss about New Hampshire.

I lived there for a while so I can give you some ideas of how to spend your time.

The New Hampshire Coastline is a great place to spend a few days, whether you are choosing to only visit that area or to make it part of a larger road trip.

This week’s podcast focuses on the southern New Hampshire coast and all of the places that I learned about while I was living in that area.

Below are links to some of the places that I mention in this week’s podcast.

Happy Travels!

Leslie

Just to clarify… Strawberry Banke is a museum that I have not visited, but when I lived in the area I used to refer to the park across the street at Strawberry Banke. The real name across the street is called Prescott Park.

For those of you traveling with pets… It was very hard to find pet-friendly hotels in the Portsmouth area that didn’t cost a fortune or weren’t a complete dive, so I cannot make any recommendations for pet travel, but if you bring your dog, Portsmouth has a really nice dog park on the outskirts of town.

(Video) The Celery Farm of Allendale, New Jersey (Bergen County, New Jersey Travel)

Posted on 26 June 2013 by Leslie Lello

During my podcast about New Jersey travel a couple of weeks ago, I talked about the little places and bits of nature that you don’t really expect in New Jersey because it is so close to New York.

It’s places like The Celery Farm that make the Garden State THE GARDEN STATE.

On the way home from the Ramsey Farmer’s Market,  I stopped at this nature preserve in Allendale, New Jersey and made a video about it.

Worth checking out if you are in the area and in the mood to hang out in nature.

Happy Travels!

PS: Sorry about some shaky camera movement. I wasn’t expecting to take any videos that day, so I didn’t have my tripod with me.

Today’s podcast is about the wonderful world of hosteling – staying in hostels as you travel around the world.

I have used hostels extensively through out the United States and in some parts of Europe because there are a number of benefits to staying in hostels.

My podcast explains these advantages, tips for first timers and some of my favorite hostels in the United States.

TBP 0003: New Jersey Do’s And Don’ts for Travelers, Tourists and Visitors

Posted on 15 June 2013 by Leslie Lello

New Jersey Shore and Travel Dos and Don'ts for Tourists

This weeks podcast is about the “Dos and Don’ts” of New Jersey for tourists and tourism… Things you SHOULD check out when you are a tourist and visiting the Garden State, as well as the things that you can skip.

I have also included my (very rough) notes from the podcast, as well as a few short videos I created from a road trip I took down to the shore in April.  (I also wanted to practice using the free version of Animoto.)

I am sure they have rebuilt a lot more of the boardwalk than what you see in the videos, but it will give you a sense of what the Jersey Shore looked like six months after Hurricane Sandy.

It’s rough to look at if you have been going there your entire life. But I’m sure it will have a comeback and it will be the same or better than before.

Sorry about my dog barking in the background on this podcast.  He knows when I am recording and thinks it’s funny to make noise. He had to get his 2 cents in about Jersey, too!  🙂

TBP 0002: Arizona Tourism – My 11 Travel Tips

Posted on 08 June 2013 by Leslie Lello

Leslie Lello www.firewalkproductions.com

I promised last week that I would create a podcast about Arizona tourism and travel, so here it is!

This podcast is ideal for individuals who have not yet visited Arizona because it is an overview.

I lived there for two years and visited there for years before moving to that great state, and I still go back any chance I can.

I hope that these “insider tips” from someone who lived there can help you navigate the Arizona Tourism terrain better.

I might go more specific with my information in the future, but this should be a helpful overview.

Arizona Tourism: 11 “Insider” Tips to help you with your first trip to Arizona.

TBP 0001: 12 Things to Know Before Your Go to Italy (Travel Italy Tips)

12 Things to Know Before Your First Trip to Italy (Travel Italy – Tips)

I have been wanting to start a travel podcast for a very long time, and I finally did it this week!

I just returned from Italy, and while I had a wonderful time and everything went fairly smoothly, there are a few things that I wish people had told me before I left for my trip.

An odd coincidence was that my neighbor was headed to Italy 3 days after I returned home.

I had so much to tell her, but I never got a chance because I had to leave day after I got back from Italy on another trip. So, the inspiration for this podcast are the “Travel Italy Tips” that I acquired and took notes on during my virgin voyage to Italia.

This podcast is for my neighbor (which I will email to her as soon as it is posted) and for you. And if you have any comments you would like to add or advice you could give, feel free to leave comments below.

Happy Travels!

Leslie

PS: My tone in the recording for “Travel Italy – Tips” is a little more mellow than how I normally speak because I was inspired to record this podcast at 11pm in a hotel, so I had to keep it quiet.
